Business Analysis Checking
Your balance works for you as an earnings credit to offset charges on the account.
If the earnings credit on your balance (based on the average account balance) is larger than the monthly activity charge, the account will be free for the statement period.
If your total cost is higher than your earnings credit, the difference is your service charge for the statement period.
An example Analysis is as follows:
Earnings Credit Allowance:
The average available daily balance for the month is multiplied by the earnings credit (an adjustable rate) and divided by 12 to determine the earnings credit for the monthly statement period.
8¢ per item processed (includes any debit or credit item)
